Michael Somers
Michael Somers is Olympic marathon runner from Belgium and a rising star in the world of European marathon running. Until the end of 2022 he was primarily known for his prowess in the 5000 and 10,000 having won national titles in both however he debuted in marathon in the fastest time in history by a Belgium athlete (2.09.31) and improved further with the Olympic standard at Berlin marathon in September 2023 (2.08.09). At the recent Paris Olympics he palced an 22nd overall and 6th European finisher.
